Monday sim is up
We’re past the trade deadline. A lot of healthy trading going on this year.
We’ll now be simming four times a week and as we’ll be having a Saturday sim.

League file is up and HTML/OU on its way. Trade deadline is Sunday late night as I’ll likely run the sim early morning Monday. There are a lot of teams still jockeying for playoff position so don’t lose the opportunity to make a deal that changes the course of OSBL history.
On a side note, just about every team exported this last sim. Makes job as commish rewarding to see the league so active and healthy. Thanks to all. BTW…Brian Utley has given up the reigns of the Baltimore Orioles franchise after only a day on the job so we have one opening. If anyone would like to recommend someone to the league that would be appreciated instead of me fishing for an unknown. Let me know!
The allstar break sim is my least favorite sim of the year.
League file is up but HTML/OU will have to wait till I either get back home or Tom gets around to it. Sorry guys.
Damnit…Son of a *$($(@#)!!!!! After all that begging and pleading for you guys to vote for our allstar rosters I simmed right through the ability to manually enter the lineups. That’s two years in a row. My apologies guys. I’m thinking the integrity of the sim is more important than redoing stuff to get the rosters right. We need to give me a setting so that it stops me before proceeding through days like that. I’ll get that fixed. Go ahead and call me names and confirm my idiocy.
Next sim won’t have that many games as we’re simming through the allstar break.
Next sim the All Star rosters will be announced. Still waiting for picks from Boston, Tampa Bay, Chicago Cubs, Florida, and St. Louis. Thank you all for taking the time to vote. There are some outstanding young players on teams that are coming out of the farm systems. It’s fun to see.
As it’s shaping up the trade deadline will be a week from Monday. At that time we’ll be picking up a 4th sim per week (likely Saturdays unless someone has a good reason to do it another day). 4 of our 6 division leaders are within 3.5 games or less of dropping out of the playoffs and the WC races are looking good. I suspect the pendulum could swing with a well placed trade by a savvy GM. I suspect we’ll see plenty of guys changing addresses this next week. Get those trade blocks up!
Did a file update tonight to reflect the replacement of Joe Strano as Baltimore GM. Joe’s been an active member of the league up to this point but had other obligations come up that required him to resign. Good luck Joe. In his place is Brian Utley. Word on the street is that he is some kind of baseball genius and makes one hell of a waffle breakfast. Look for him to post his contact info on the message board. Glad to have him on board.
I went ahead and imported exports up to this point as well as processed trades. Feel free to download and rexport as I’ll do it again just before simming. Sim will be ran either super early this coming AM or tomorrow late afternoon as I’ve got stuff cooking from 7-3 PST.
There are still 10 or so teams left to vote for the All Star game. Please do so ASAP. Thanks.
Having a pretty good year so far, battling it out with a tough Oakland team, but hanging in there. Martin Perez, recently called up to parent team, is 1-1, and fared well in unfriendly Coors field…………..Hurley got spanked in Coors, finally losing his 1st game to be 8-1………..free agent acquisition Dave Bush continues to sparkle at 8-3. team excited about Kerry Wood’s presence, and are hopeful to change his mind about free agency next year. Fan support has been excellent, aiding our 21-12 home record. Hopefully the injuries are done for awhile, and looking forward to Beltre’s return, and Purke’s continuing recovery from his torn tricep , rehab coming along fine…………scheduled to start some soft-toss excercises in 2 weeks.
I don’t know what’s a bigger pain in the ass…taxes or processing the draft. Either way, the draft is done. I made a small error while processing it but went back after and fixed it but double check your draft picks to be sure they all landed where they should have.
Don’t forget to vote in the allstar voting in OOTP:OU. I will do my damndest to remember to use them this time.
